Preparation, Characterization, and Properties of Alkali-Resistant and Hydrolysis-Resistant Silicone Surfactant

It is a challenge to research and develop silicon surfactants with good acid alkali stability. In the present paper, methylpropenyl polyether modified nonionic silicone surfactant (MPNTS), an alkali-resistant hydrolysis-resistant surfactant, was synthesized by hydrosilylation of 1,1,1,3,5,5,5-heptamethyl trisiloxane (MDHM) (EO(7)). The segments are grafted onto main chain organosilicon heptamethyl at molar ratio 1:1.05 (n(Si-H):n(C=C)). To evidence product formation, MPNTS were analyzed FT-IR 1H NMR spectroscopy. surface tension NPNTS 18.68 mN/m, CMC value 78 mg/L contact angle tester. MPTNS shows hydrolytic stability maintains that it could keep activity after standing for 60 days pH = 7–10. compatibility performance analysis has synergy cationic, anionic, surfactants, reveals application prospects in daily chemicals, agricultural adjuvants, other products.
